Davos Instruments is comparing a PMO8 radiometer to the irradiance reference of the Laboratory for Atmospheric Science (LASP) and Space Physics at the University of Colorado in Boulder. LASP’s total solar irradiance radiometer facility (TRF) allows to compare the PMO8 to the NIST traceable reference radiometer NACR5 (White et al. 2022) in a indoor laboratory environment.

SnowImager homepage is online
Davos Instruments is collaborating with the WSL institute for snow and avalanche research (SLF) to build new instrumentation to determine physical snow properties based on optical methods. Our new instrument, the SnowImager now has its own homepage presenting methods and results from the field. Check it out on www.snowimager.ch

ISRC – Lignan (Aosta)
This last week of June, an impressive installation of different radiometers has been set up in Lignan (Aosta, Italy). It is the 11th International Spectroradiometer and Broadband Intercomparison 2023 (ISRC) organised by the Joint Research Centre (JRC). More than a dozen institutions from the fields of solar energy research and meteorology are taking part in this event. Comparing and calibration their equipment. Davos Instruments is operating its PMO8 reference as well as two radiometers on behalf of the World Radiation Centre.
